Producing Green Energy
Thanks to increasing global demand for our three main export products, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Propane
and Butane (LPG) and Gasolene, we have achieved rapid growth over the years.
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
Liquefied Natural Gas or LNG is an odourless, colourless, non-corrosive and non-toxic product of natural gas consisting primarily of methane (CH4), which is in liquid form at near-to-atmospheric pressure. It is a secure, safe and reliable way to deliver natural gas to every corner of the globe
When it comes to protecting public health and the environment, natural gas is the cleanest energy source available today. It can be used to replace other fossil fuels such as coal and oil, which emit significantly higher levels of pollutants.
LNG is also of superior quality compared to pipeline gas, because it is purer, with a higher methane and energy content. It is a safer fuel than either gasoline or diesel fuel, as it has a limited range of flammability and when LNG vapours (methane) are mixed with air in an unconfined environment, it is also not explosive.
LNG features a more stable chemical structure compared to pipeline gas. Delivering natural gas in liquid form is the most practical method for transportation across vast distances.
MLNG has achieved rapid export growth over the years, thanks to increasing global demand for our three main export products, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Propane and Butane (LPG) and Gasolene.
You can find out more about our other main exports in the following passages.
Propane and Butane (LPG)
Propane and Butane (LPG) is gaseous hydrocarbon at normal temperature and pressure but readily turn into liquid under moderate pressure at normal temperature. We export LPG to Vietnam, India and Philippines. Aside from that, our LPG in bottled form has also gained a sizable market share domestically.
Stabilised Gasoline is produced at our various units: MLNG, MLNG Tiga Fractionation, MLNG Dua Stabilisation and MLNG Tiga Condensate Stabilisation. Our most prominent Gasolene client is Bintulu Crude Oil Terminal (BCOT).
LNG Business chain
To achieve a production output of the highest quality with minimal waste, we abide by our integrated five-phase Business Chain. This business
process ensures that our operations are managed at the most efficient level.
